Hi! My name’s Lauren.
After completing my BA in French & History, I decided to pursue a career in translation and, in 2022, I graduated with an MA in Translation Studies from University of Sheffield. 
I am also an affiliate member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI).
Although my career is language-based, my love of history continues and you’d be very likely to find me reading a book on early modern Europe or exploring heritage properties. Some friends and I recently spent a week in Anglesey and visited Beaumaris Castle and Caernarfon Castle. If the weather’s trapped me at home (as it so often does in the UK), you’ll probably find me donning an apron and trying to perfect a new recipe – see my food page Dancing in the Kitchen for more on that front!
Travel is another of my passions. Of course, I have a soft spot for France, particularly Lyon where I spent my year abroad, but I love exploring new places, cultures, and cuisines – South America is next on my bucket list!
